Step 1

Design

The design process varies with each project and can range from a simple discussion to a variety of renderings, surface tests and prototypes depending on what's necessary to ensure you're thrilled with the final outcome. We'll offer our advice and guidance gained from years of experience making ceramics to ensure each project exceeds expectation.

(As each project is unique it depends upon the particular requirements of the project and how far along designs are as to how long this will take.)

Step 2

Throw

We specialise in throwing pots on the wheel.

Throwing is the process of placing soft clay onto the potters wheel and shaping it entirely by hand into the desired form. Not requiring a mold this process allows each piece to be unique, whether you're after a one off object or a collection that exudes the feeling of being handmade.

For large orders we can then work with one of our partners to either jigger jolly or slip-cast pieces. These processes ensure every piece is identical when precision is paramount.

Step 3

Glaze

Once the clay has been shaped it will be bisque fired then glazed. Once glazed the work will be fired for a second time creating that seductive surface.

Due to our flexible setup we are able to work with any clay and glazes.
