Design & Test

The design and testing process varies with each project and can range from a simple discussion to a variety of renderings, surface tests and prototypes depending on what's necessary to ensure you're thrilled with the final outcome. We'll offer our advice and guidance gained from years of experience making ceramics to ensure each project exceeds expectation.

(As each project is unique it depends upon the particular requirements of the project and how far along designs are as to how long this will take.)

Step 2

Produce

Over the years we’ve undertaken projects produced using a variety of techniques from being thrown on the potters wheel, to being sculpted entirely by hand to being slipcast using plaster moulds.

As each project is unique we will discuss at the design and test stage what method would be best for your project depending on the final outcome and the number of pieces desired.

Step 3

Glaze

Once the clay has been shaped it will be bisque fired then glazed. Once glazed the work will be fired for a second time creating that seductive surface.

Due to our flexible setup we are able to work with any clay and glazes.
